TransNusa to add Guangzhou and Singapore to network

Indonesian airline TransNusa says it will become the second airline in the country to introduce commercial flights to Guangzhou, China.
It also will introduce flights to Singapore.
Group ceo Bernard Francis said the inaugural flight to Guangzhou has been scheduled for 16th November while the inaugural flight to Singapore has been scheduled for 20th November.

Star Alliance has opened a second lounge at Paris Charles de Gaulle (CDG) airport, France.
Eligible first and business class passengers and Star Alliance Gold status customers on member airline flights departing from gates 10 to 38 in Terminal 1, plus United Club and Air Canada Maple Leaf Club members may also access the lounge.

Spanish rail company Evolyn has announced 2025 plans to launch a Paris to London high-speed train service to rival Eurostar, having agreed to buy 12 high-speed trains from the French train manufacturer Alstom.

Australian women involved in a lawsuit against Qatar Airways have criticised an Australian Senate report into the airline’s failed application for extra flights to the country, saying the investigation failed to hold the Qatari carrier to account and focused too much on the role played by Qantas and its then ceo Alan Joyce.

With network growth still a priority (Australian services from Istanbul to Sydney and Melbourne via Singapore are among new services likely next year), Turkish Air is reporting a 9.2 per cent increase in passengers carried in September at 7.9 million and an 18.6 per cent increase in the total number of passengers carried in the first nine months of the calendar year at 63.9 million when compared to the corresponding period in 2022.
