Thailand is holding its first MICE Week, showcasing the Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (TCEB) plans for the next year and the future direction of the country’s MICE industry, writes Kelvin King.
TCEB’s new president, Chiruit Isarangkun Na Ayuthaya said the bureau sought to foster MICE as a mechanism for Thailand’s economic development. A 20-year “vision” was in place and four key strategies “developed to drive the country’s MICE industry towards stability and sustainability goals”.
Selina Chavry (pictured left), global managing director of Pacific World, has been appointed to the Board of Trustees of the Society for Incentive Travel Excellence (SITE).

Tourism in Brisbane has seen strong growth in domestic and international visitation, with record numbers of visitors travelling through Brisbane Airport and by Airtrain over the last twelve months.
