Ryanair cancels flights to clear staff holiday backlog

Irish budget carrier Ryanair is to cancel 40 to 50 flights a day for the next six weeks due to a backlog of staff leave, saying the measure is designed to improve punctuality, which fell below 80 per cent in the first two weeks of September.
