Russia's airline passenger numbers dropped 16.5 per cent in the seven-month January-July period, its Federal Aviation agency says. In July, which is traditionally a high-demand holiday period, national airlines carried 5.25 million passengers, 10.8 per cent fewer than a year earlier.
