Australia's federal government is considering whether to protect plane passengers and pay compensation under a bill of rights, including compensation for delays or cancellations that are within an airline's control, according to a national association of lawyers and academics.

Travel management agency BCD Travel says Singapore was the most-visited destination by business travellers in the Asia-Pacific region last year, followed by Hong Kong, Bangkok, Tokyo, Kuala Lumpur, Shanghai, Seoul, Taipei, Jakarta and Manila, with the eight most-travelled business routes being flights to or from Singapore.
