The International Air Transport Association (IATA) says global passenger demand in May, measured in revenue passenger kilometres (RPKs), was up 10.7 per cent compared to May 2023 and total capacity, measured in available seat kilometres (ASKs), was up 8.5 per cent year-on-year. Load factor was 83.4 per cent, a record for the month.

The Ming Culture Forum 2024 was recently held in the district of Changping in Beijing, China. With the theme of 'The Splendid Age of the Colorful Ming', it was composed of forums, one international academic seminar, cultural relics exhibitions and more than 30 cultural activities to be held throughout the year. More than 100 national treasures were unveiled at the opening ceremony.
