OIG steps in to audit MAX oversight

The US Transportation Department's Office of Inspector General (OIG) is to audit Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) oversight of two safety features on the Boeing 737 MAX, namely the Maneuvering Characteristics Augmentation System (MCAS) anti-stall system that was cited as a contributing factor in two fatal MAX crashes in Indonesia and Ethiopia that killed 346 people and Angle of Attack (AOA) 'disagree alerts'.
