Berra now svp at BP’s avgas division

Federica (Fede) Berra [pictured right] has been appointed  senior vice president for UK-based Air bp,  effective immediately. She succeeds Martin Thomsen.
Berra joined bp in June 2020 as senior vice president integrated gas and power in the gas and low carbon energy business. 
Prior to working for bp, she was with ExxonMobil as vice president acquisitions, Latin America, and prior to that held a wide range of leadership roles in Europe and North America in gas and power ‎marketing.

Crown Melbourne and Crown Perth (Crown) have been ordered by the Federal Court of Australia to pay a A$450 million penalty over two years after AUSTRAC launched civil penalty proceedings against them for breaches of the Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing Act 2006 (AML/CTF Act).

Massachusetts, USA-based startup Connect Airlines has been informed by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) that it has failed to meet certification deadlines and as a consequence, services between Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport and Midwest and Northeast US cities such as Chicago and Philadelphia using a fleet of De Havilland Canada Dash 8-400s is delayed until early August at the earliest.

Ascott Australia has appointed Jennifer Warn (pictured right) general manager sales and distribution.
Warn joined Ascott's Quest Apartment Hotels in 2018 as director of sales before being promoted to Group head of corporate sales in January 2021.

Her expanded role now includes managing Ascott Australia’s sales and revenue team.

HK convention centre adds AI to toilets

The Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre will roll out a new AI Life Sense Alert System in 61 accessible toilets of the centre to enhance visitor safety. 
Installation is now being conducted in phases, with completion slated for end of July.
Monica Lee-Müller, HML managing director said: "The first phase of installation covering 10 accessible toilets has been completed.

"The installation of the remaining 51 toilets will be completed by end of July. The system can detect a toilet user’s posture (active or static, seated or lying down) and collect motion value for AI-enabled analysis to identify if a fall/accident has taken place or the toilet user has become motionless.
