In Australia, the International Convention Centre Sydney (ICC Sydney) has invited Bachelor of Management (Events) graduate Emily Howe to join it as part of a new Event Management Graduate Program delivered in partnership with University of Technology Sydney (UTS).
The two-year paid graduate program will see Howe gain exposure to multiple disciplines - from business development to event planning and event delivery, plus insights into customer service, finance, risk and marketing.
ICC Sydney ceo Adam Mather-Brown said: “At ICC Sydney, we offer long term, flexible and rewarding careers and invest in developing event professionals.
"Our team is proud to provide an avenue for more graduates to get the on-the-job experience that is so critical in event management.”
UTS Business School’s director, Bachelor of Management, doctor Meg Hibbins said: “We’re delighted to once again join forces with the team of ICC Sydney to create an unparalleled opportunity for our event management graduates to experience working in Australia’s premier venue.
Howe said: “I couldn’t be more excited to join ICC Sydney as a new graduate ... and to experience the mentoring and interaction with clients that will boost my future career prospects.”
