Granfield to head Mantra e-commerce

Matt-Granfield1Matt Granfield has joined the Mantra Group executive committee as executive director – Digital, overseeing the Group’s e-commerce and digital strategy.

Granfield was previously head of Customer Marketing and Digital at Heritage Bank, and prior to that was a partner and consultant with some of Australia's creative agencies working on both tourism and financial services brands.

Dubai-based carrier Emirates will expand its services to mainland China with four weekly flights to Yinchuan (INC) and Zhengzhou (CGO) starting 03 May 2016. These services will offer new international connectivity for two of China’s fastest-growing cities, and expand Emirates’ destination offering on the mainland to five, namely Beijing, Shanghai, and Guangzhou.

Damien-Kitto-Chief-Executive-Officer-Adelaide-Convention-BureauThe Adelaide Convention Bureau (ACB) posted a record year in 2014/15 including winning its bid to host more than 3000 delegates from around the world at the 68th International Astronautical  Congress (IAC) in 2017.
It was among 119 future events secured during 2014/15 valued at A$150.6 million.

Damien Kitto (left), chief executive of the ACB said the IAC would be the largest international event of its kind ever held in South Australia and would inject A$18 million into the state economy.

The three-day event combined site inspections, business networking opportunities and educational seminars and featured a series of panel discussions centred on the business of associations held at the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Industry outlook better, IATA reveals – profits ordinary, fragile

A new report by the Australian Transport Bureau (ATB) suggests Malaysia Airlines flight MH370 suffered a loss of power that left it flying on auto-pilot until it ran out of fuel and crashed on March 8 last year, killing all 239 aboard.
