Airports of Thailand (AOT) plans to spend THB194 billion (about US$$5.5 billion) over the next 15 years to expand its six airports.

Emirates adds a direct Melbourne, Australia B777 service

Dubai-based Emirates is increasing its number of direct flights to Australia with a second daily service to Melbourne from October 30 this year, achieved by dropping the Kuala Lumpur leg on its daily Dubai-Kuala Lumpur-Melbourne service.

From that time, it will use an Airbus A380 on one of its three daily direct services to the Malaysian capital.

The carrier will use a Boeing 777-300ER on the new direct flight to Melbourne.
