Wellington opens NZ$58m terminal extension

Wellington Airport, New Zealand has officially opened its new NZ$58 million terminal extension. Pictured are prime minister John Key with Steve Sanderson at a ceremony at the airport.
The main terminal building and apron have been extended by an additional 6,000 square metres, the equivalent of 12 basketball courts, and include more parking spaces for aircraft, improved passenger facilities, a centralised screening point and easier movement for travellers throughout the terminal.

Amadeus reports strong profit growth

Travel tech firm Amadeus IT Group has reported an adjusted profit of EUR738.1 million in the nine months to September 30, 2016. That represented a growth of 21.3 per cent compared to the same period of 2015 driven by a revenue increase of 14.2 per cent to EUR3,386.5 million, and EBITDA growth of 16.4 per cent to EUR1,332.1 million. Free cash-flow generation grew by 18.2 per cent in the first three quarters of the year, with the debt ratio at 1.21x EBITDA.
