AccorHotels sets scene for Banyan Tree stake

Singapore-based integrated resorts operator Banyan Tree Holdings has entered into a heads of agreement with AccorHotels.
Under a long-term deal, both parties intend to collaborate to develop and manage Banyan Tree-branded hotels around the world. Banyan Tree will also have access to AccorHotels’ global reservations and sales network, as well as its loyalty program Le Club AccorHotels.

The International Air Transport Association (IATA) has released a study identifying a quantitative link between a country’s air cargo connectivity and its participation in global trade. A one per cent increase in air cargo connectivity is associated with a 6.3 per cent increase in a country’s total trade, IATA says.

The International Air Transport Association (IATA) says global passenger traffic results for October show demand (measured in revenue passenger kilometres or RPKs) rose 5.8 per cent compared to the same month last year. Capacity grew 6.3 per cent and load factor slid 0.4 percentage points to 80.1% per cent.
