The International Air Transport Association (IATA) has published its forward estimates for Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) production.
The UK’s ad regulator the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) has banned three airline advertisements (from Air France, Lufthansa and Etihad) for potentially misleading customers about the environmental impact of air travel.
The International Air Transport Association (IATA) has strengthened its profitability projections for airlines this year and says the figures will then largely stabilise in 2024.
However, net profitability (at the global level) is expected to be well below the cost of capital in both years and very significant regional variations in financial performance remain.
