After nearly a year of allowing arrivals to the UK who were infected with Covid-19 to enter the country almost at will, the UK government is finally talking tough, with fines and possible jail sentences on the table for people who break new rules in England from February 15 (powers devolved to Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland mean different arrangements 'might or might not' apply in those three countries. Scotland already has announced its rules).
