Hong Kong's Cathay Pacific is seeking an overflight permit for its plan to re-route its New York-Hong Kong non-stop run to avoid Russia, by crossing the Atlantic, the UK and Southern Europe before overflying central Asia to reach Hong Kong. The flight would take nearly 18 hours and be the world's longest.
