Dubai-based Emirates has confirmed its second daily flight on its Dubai-Melbourne, Australia route using A380 aircraft.

Richard Saunders has been appointed vice president, global partners network with US travel management platform CWT.
Prior to joining CWT in 2007, where he originally worked in the client organisation supporting major corporate and government customers, Saunders spent six years with United Airlines, where he managed offline sales and alliance activities in the Middle East & Africa.

Air Canada to add 26 A321 neos to fleet

Air Canada is acquiring 26 extra-long range (XLR) versions of the A321neo aircraft.
The aircraft has sufficient range to serve all North American and select transatlantic markets, while improving the carrier's fuel efficiency to advance its environmental programs.

A new Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) covering air services between Australia and Qatar allows up to seven passenger services per week by Australian and Qatari airlines into each of Sydney, Melbourne, Perth and Brisbane airports for a total of 28 weekly flights.
