Boeing joins Airbus, reports composite jet paint issues

With Qatar Airways and plane maker Airbus locked in a US$2 billion dispute over paint quality and associated safety issues with the A350, Boeing now has told media some of its B787 jets have experienced paint 'peeling' on wing and horizontal stabiliser surfaces due to ultraviolet radiation exposure - and it has asked US regulators to approve a plan to address the issue.
