ACC to focus on local F&B

Australia’s Adelaide Convention Centre (ACC) has a new F&B focus designed to tell the stories of South Australian farmers, fishers and growers and winemakers whose produce and wines are helping to build the Centre’s reputation around the world.‘Soils and Seasons’ celebrates the provenance of food and in particular how regional soil, climate and production methods influence the flavour of the food.
It will be served up to national and international delegates, putting the spotlight on South Australia’s premium produce.
In Australia, seven Gold Coast youths are on their way to becoming future MasterChefs after kick starting their culinary arts apprenticeships at Queensland’s Jupiters Hotel and Casino, with five completing a school-based work experience program hosted at the property.
Alpha Hotels & Resorts has opened its fourth and largest hotel so far, rebranding the 180 room Australis Sovereign Hotel in Surfers Paradise, Queensland as the Alpha Sovereign Hotel Gold Coast.
