A new 'socially responsible' low-cost airline startup plans to give more than half of its profits to charities that are nominated by its passengers.
According to the UK's Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), there were 23 drone-related incidents including 12 near misses at UK airports between November 2015 and April 2016.
The fuel strike that is crippling France has prompted two unions - the SNCTA and UNSA that collectively have about 70 per cent of France’s air traffic controllers - to postpone a planned June 2 strike.
Research by travel deals publisher Travelzoo indicates a third of travellers from Germany, Italy and Spain and 25 per cent of those from France would be less likely to holiday in the UK if that country votes to leave the UK (Brexit) in the June 23 referendum.
Malaysia-based budget carrier AirAsia says the newly-launched Value Alliance group of eight budget Asian airlines poses no threat.
Its ceo Tony Fernandes said he doubted the new group would threaten AirAsia's position.
