Qantas says it has had to postpone its in-flight wifi launch due to stability issues.
Ahead of a possible 'Open Skies' agreement between the two countries, Chinese airlines will be able to operate 59 passenger flights a week to and from New Zealand (up from 49 a week) and fly domestically in NZ under an expanded bilateral air services agreement.
The Australian government says there will be no follow-the-leader response to the decision by the United States (US) and the United Kingdom (UK) to stop airline passengers travelling with large personal electronic devices as cabin baggage on selected 'direct inbound flights' to the two countries. Only phones and medical devices are exempt from the ban.
