Carlson Rezidor gives de Neef new global role

Eric de Neef  has been appointed  executive vice president, global chief Branding and Commercial officer for Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group.
 
In his new role based in Brussels de Neef, currently executive vice president and chief commercial officer of Rezidor Hotel Group (EMEA), will assume additional responsibilities and lead the branding and commercial organisation for the Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group globally. 

Etouches sold to HGGC

US-headquartered event management software company Etouches has been acquired by HGGC, a private equity firm.  HGGC’s investment will help Etouches expand its business and further invest in its cloud platform to win a greater share of the US$6 billion Event Management Software (EMS) and venue sourcing market.

US officials reportedly have told airlines to “be prepared” for an expanded ban on carry-on personal electronic devices (PEDs) allowed on airplanes - but have not yet decided on a firm plan.

The Emirates Group has posted a AED2.5 billion (US$670 million) profit for the financial year ending 31 March 2017, down 70 per cent from last year’s record profit. 

The Group’s revenue reached AED94.7 billion (US$25.8 billion), an increase of two per cent over last year’s results, and the Group’s cash balance decreased by 19 per cent to AED19.1 billion (US$5.2 billion).
